Robin has also been successful as a composer placing work on the 1989 Australian movie soundtrack for the film "Hungry Heart". He has been commissioned a number of times to compose sound scapes for contemporary dance choreographers Dean Walsh and Chrissie Koltai. These works have been performed as part of the "Independent Dance Collection" seasons held at the Performance Space in Sydney and Dean's work toured throughout Australia and Europe in 1996.

As a full writer member of APRA , Robin has over 70 registered works to his credit; 18 of which have received major record release. Robin co-wrote the TOP 20 single "The Love We Make" recorded by Girl Overboard and covered by Danish singer Ester Brohus.

Robin has co-written with a number of Australian writers including Nick Smith (Black Sorrows) and Danny McCarthy (Chosen Few). He has also worked with American songwriters, Chas Sandford (John Waite) and George Green (John Cougar).

Moving to Camperdown in late 2004 into the Turtlerock Mastering / Electric Avenue Studio complex, saw an expansion of dVs studios and the subsequent renaming to Tone Master Productions.

When not at Tone Master, Robin generally works at Electric Avenue Studios. The studio houses owner Phil Punch's
collection of vintage and classic microphones.
